In "The Parabbean Sea," the stronghold of the Swashbuckling Mantaneers serves as the backdrop. The boss of the pirate crew, "Captain Barbatoid," sings alongside the underlings, supporting the crew's guardian deity, the pirate ship "The Jolly Hermit." While Captain Barbatoid is a brave and daring pirate leader, there are also tales of how he acted as a surrogate parent for Hermit, a hermit crab ship that had lost its parents since a young age.

A fierce battle unfolds in the wilderness with the giant sand bull, "Wagoon." The Kickstarter campaign for "RATATAN" held in August 2023 secured the top spot in the 2023 Kickstarter Games category and ranked 25th in history, leaving its mark on the history of crowdfunding.
This work is a new masterpiece by Katsuyuki Kotani, the creator of the "Patapon" series, in collaboration with TVT Co., Ltd. As key development members, veteran developers such as Nelnal (character designer), Kemmei Adachi (composer), and Kenei Nakasha from the ".hack" series (director) have gathered to create this game.
