Developed by TiGames, F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is a Metroidvania-style action game. The game tells a story of the Torch City inhibiting a group of animals but was then invaded and ruled by the Machine Legion six years ago. The Torch City was torn although the animals had tried to form a resistance force to fight against the Machine Legion. Under the repressive rule of the Machine Legion, the only place where the animals can seek peace is in the slum of the lower city, a place left by the Legion to die. Players will play the role of Rayton, the former soldier in the resistance war. After his friend Uncle Joe was suddenly captured by the Machine Legion, he is determined to put on his old mechanical fist again and embark on a journey to rescue his friends and save the desperate Torch City.
Since the game's first release, F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch has had an excellent performance on many game platforms and review sites for its outstanding and unique dieselpunk art style, strong and real fighting, classic battle mode, and superior level system. The game has received 90% positive reviews on Steam, rated as excellent with a score of 8 out of 10 on IGN China, and has also been awarded the gold award by Famitsu Japan. In the international game review website Metacritic Game Reviews, its PS5 and PC versions also received 80% positive reviews. In the Metroidvania-style map of the game, there are countless hidden rooms, shortcuts, and secret paths for players to explore. Although combat is the main theme of the game, the map also contains many puzzles and platform games that await your challenge. As players continue to play along, more skills will be unlocked, allowing you to defeat stronger bosses and challenge again the previous levels or missions that you once failed to complete.
Players can freely and seamlessly switch between Rayton's three weapons: the Fist, the Drill, and the Whip helping players to choose the most suitable attacks in different battles. The three weapons have different effects when combined with different moves. In addition to combat, weapons can also be used to turn on different switches and change the direction of charging.
